Episode 01 – Watchmen Director’s Cut
Who Watches the Watchmen? We do. The wait for the dvd release of the Watchmen Director’s Cut is finally over and we were very pleasantly surprised. Considering how we all are huge fans of Watchmen in all its incarnations, we decided to get the podcast started with one of our favorite subjects.
So, albeit some technical difficulties, here it is: Episode 01 of World Peace Through Jackie Earle Haley, a podcast for the fans, by the fans.
Zack Snyder Interview: ‘‘Watchmen is like the music you feel is written just for you. ‘That’s my song, no one else gets that but me”’
Thoughts after watching ‘Watchmen’: Sociopaths have antisocial behavior and lack a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience and are also only interested in their own needs over others, and don’t care how their actions affect other people. Psychopaths have antisocial behavior that shows itself in aggressive, amoral, criminal or perverted ways, and have no empathy or remorse towards others.

It won’t work! I need my JEH glory!
That was weird. All fixed now! Sorry about that.
Hey, I’m finally actually really listening to these.
My friend made a good point about the squids. It’s supposed to be a FOREIGN enemy that brings the world together. She doesn’t like the bomb because it’s Dr.Manhattan. A LOCAL enemy. Wouldn’t you think that you wouldn’t want to befriend the country that’s home to the weapon that just killed a large portion of your country?
It makes sense, now that she says that, but I still prefer the bomb, although the bomb makes Bubastis’s existence really weird and almost superfluous.
Yeah, I’ve talked to people who have a huge problem with the enemy being an American. I do like that framing Jon makes it more ‘personal’, but yeah. The script tried to make the rest of the world care by blowing up cities around the world instead of just NY, but that probably would piss them off more. Maybe they should have just stuck with NY being destroyed, and the rest of the world terrified that Manhattan had turned on his own country and was therefore more dangerous to everyone.
I love the squid and it makes sense! I do wish there could have been a way to adapt it, but I kind of just accept the change and the logic flaws that go with it as part and parcel of adapting to film.
Also, I LOLed at and kind of love Bubastis’s superfluous inclusion, because it was such a fanservicey moment with complete disregard for the newbies. XD
except the hardcore fanpeeps are partially pissed off because SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RED D<
xD
Yes, but the hardcore fanpeeps would have been pissed off either way, just because Alan Moore says it’s cool. xD
