We may have taken our time with this one, but it was worth it. Of course we had to discuss the new Nightmare on Elm Street featuring none other than Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, but we have a special guest joining us this time: the awesome, smart, super cool Jessica. Not only is she a die hard Nightmare on Elm Street fan and has her own podcast, but she also got a chance to go on the set to interview Jackie and got to see some very cool stuff – but you’ll have to listen to find out.

Lots of people in this episode, but that just means there’s more for you to love, right?

It’s been difficult waiting patiently for this episode, but lo and behold, it’s here and it’s GLORIOUS!! Jessica’s accounts have me crossing my fingers for a director’s cut DVD. Hey- don’t sound so surpised that people actually listen to these podcasts! ;)

I can’t recall too much about the attic stuff or the first half, but I guess that just goes to show how bad it was. Not much of it stuck in my memory. (Oh, one thing I’m pretty sure about is that Quentin was in his speedo during that dream sequence, not his underwear. He fell asleep while at swim practice, so it makes sense.) But hearing about all those deleted scenes makes me really hope for a great DVD release. With how fast movies are put out on DVD nowadays, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. As for the sequel, hopefully there will be some improvement with Bayer gone. (Not to say he’s entirely to blame, but he was definitely a part of the problem.) Anyway, another great episode. It’s always fun listening to you girls. :)

I felt totally ripped off when ‘peekaboo Freddy’ wasn’t in the attic scene. That was one partI was really looking forward to from the previews. What a bummer that they cut it out… *sighs*

I’ve already listened to this podcast THREE TIMES!!! It’s on continuous loop on my iPod and every time I laugh and nod my head in accord with everything that’s being said. I love the analysis, but it’s knowing that there are a bunch of girls out there whom I now consider fangirlfriends, who talk about the things I LOVE, that makes me squee!

WONDERFUL podcast, I so looked forward to this one after going through all the others. Props to all the girls and special guest Jessica, who is so nice to share her AWESOME experience on set! OMG, she was so brave to say that to Jackie! I’ll bet he had a good laugh!!! :):):)

saw the movie seven times and the attic is in my memory very well

Jackie didn’t do peek-a-boo but more like screamer.
jumped right on top on kris and said “remember me?”

lol!!! I couldn’t but laugh at her later on when finally Freddy gets her!

  9. Virginia says:

So happy to read this podcast, and it’s great to have Jessica’s input on her experience on the set!

WONDERFUL podcast as always, full of humor and wit. And once again, Jackie has blown me away. As a very die hard nightmare fan, when I found out Jackie was going to don the bladed glove, I knew that there was no one else more suited to do so. The man’s talent and integrity endear him to me, and I as I said, once again, he’s blown me away.

there was a debate between me and my mom about when was child molestation really broke at it’s peak in america media. She says it was when the catholic church cover up when all these children were molested and no one ever spoke out. That’s when it really broke the camels back because children were known to be molested by family members, neighbors and strangers. but religious figures caused a quake as it was going on for decades.
