THE PODCAST

World Peace Through Jackie Earle Haley is a podcast for the fans by the fans, made with the best intentions to have fun and encourage discussion on Jackie Earle Haley’s movies and characters, and the source material for both. Our number one rule (same as for all of our network sites and communities) is and always will be to respect Jackie Earle Haley above all else.

I look at the broadcasts as intelligent fans discussing characters and the actor behind them. We have fun, we joke, but the core of the broadcast is that we respect each other, the audience and JEH. – Michelle

THE NAME

We know our podcast’s (and LiveJournal community’s) name could be cause for debate, so we covered this in our second episode. In our very own Brittney’s words:

“World Peace Through Jackie Earle Haley actually started out as a joke between me and Caro. We were talking about how we could bring peace to the world with drawing tablets, flat screen monitors and Jackie. It was a joke that just totally exploded and now look where we are. It’s an amazing thing and it makes me really happy.”

THE GIRLS

Our amazing group of hosts met because of their appreciation for Jackie Earle Haley and his work, but soon realized they shared a variety of other interests, such as Watchmen and late night movie nights while chatting on Skype. Our recording sessions can last for hours, way beyond our topic of conversation for the night, but don’t worry- the 30 minute cut that makes it into each episode is nothing but our best.
